This had to have been the best episode of this series that I've seen. ALL of the women that were featured in "Amazon Women" were beautiful, strong, sexy, independent and dedicated to their careers, family and sport. Emery, you and your husband....girl I almost choaked up win theat man could not put into words how he felt about you. Jena aka Dr. Sexy, you keep it real on all levels. Joan, you prove that age ain't nothing but a number and lovely Lauren, i love that you just do you;-) You ladies are great examples for women and girls all over the world. Hope to see more of you in the future. Please post links to your websites for your fans. Thank you for exhibiting real beauty...inside and out:-)

First let me thank everyone who watched the show & for all of the gracious comments that you have afforded me & my husband thereafter.
My reasons for agreeing to do the show were, as I suspect, the same as for any other FBB who has taken on the media…to gain some recognition and more importantly to try to dispel some of the myths that constantly circle our sport like vultures over a fresh kill. Still it is a HUGE decision to make having witnessed the media slaughters that have preceded “Secret Lives of Women-Amazon Women.”
I knew in my heart that I would never do anything to endanger our sport or worsen an already misguided public opinion. I knew that if I could just be given a few solid moments that I could change some people’s thoughts, but I also knew that others before me had tried and had been betrayed by the networks and by editors with an agenda who had no intention of ever treating us with dignity and respect.
It was a scary thought that I might become one of the girls who began with good intentions only to have her words twisted and mangled and to ultimately be chastised or hated by those persons she set out to represent for the good. It was not without trepidation that I set myself and my family up for public scrutiny but I ultimately agreed because Pangolin Pictures assured me that we would be treated well & that the subject matter was to be presented in a positive light. They explained to me that it is the goal of the Women’s Entertainment Channel to empower women in all their endeavors. I would have to wait & see.
Me and my families part in the show was three fold; to show an FBB off-season so that people could see that we do not always have gaunt & drawn faces (although they cut that discussion out), to show that we still lead normal lives with families, jobs & children, and finally to show that men still see us as attractive and sexy women, not in spite of, but because of the muscle we have worked so hard to develop.
Although I only have one child (I assumed the second child they referred to was my dog) I think that WE did a remarkable job of representing all of us fairly. I couldn’t be more delighted that they covered the ENTIRE sport and all of its sidelines completely and without bias. I know that some people were not happy that they did discuss the “sessions” aspect of the sport but it IS very much a sideline of this sport whether people like it or not and I believe that WE did a very good job of portraying it as non-sleazy. If anyone had seen the “Fetish” episode two weeks prior, that series also had a woman who wrestles men for money & she did NOT have a nice physique and they showed her cellulite covered fanny during a face sitting session…up close. Trust me…we came off looking great!!!
I don’t think there is anything wrong with the session’s thing even though I don’t do that. It only looks bad if we act guilty about it and try to hide things. Then people wonder what’s so bad that we need to hide. There can be no scandals if there are no secrets. I do the web cam thing and none of my family has a problem with it (including my Grandma or my 18 year old daughter) so please don’t be upset that they discussed this very real part of our sport. Turn the lights on & the monster under the bed goes away.
As for the rest of the show, there are so many things that had to be cut out due to time constraints. I know that Pangolin Pictures left my home with 12 hours of film just from us alone; interviews, me training a client, answering fan mail, me discussing all the wonderfully positive reactions I’ve had from strangers and my family playing board games. I bet there was a lot of great stuff from the other 3 girls that had to be cut out as well and I only wish that they had had time to cover it all.
In the end I am so happy that I chose to do the show and that I got to share the screen with three other phenomenal women and athletes. I am honored to have been a part of such a fantastic event and I hope that they also have no regrets.
Thank you all again for all of your continuing support.
